Jazz and Roots Cincinnati, is a 501(c) (3) Non-Profit Organization that provides arts education and enrichment in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jazz and Roots Cincinnati (JARC), in conjunction with the Bruce Arnold Foundation, is committed to providing high level music education and performance opportunities that inspire. Jazz and Roots Cincinnati celebrates and explores Jazz and American Roots music and the impact that this music has had on our culture and society. Through the study and appreciation of jazz, folk, rock, bluegrass and other uniquely American musical styles we inspire and enrich our community. In addition to our programs that take place in Cincinnati, JARC and the BAF offer online courses for students beyond the greater Cincinnati area. JARC offers onsite and online private lessons, group classes, ensembles, theory classes, musicianship classes, clinics, workshops, lectures, and masterclasses. Our curriculum moves students through a logical progression of skills and techniques and provides assessment, feedback and expectations for our students. Our curriculum provides students with clear goals and benchmarks that propel them forward to success. By leveraging local, regional and national educators, Jazz and Roots Cincinnati has built a world class network of faculty artist/educators that serves as the core of the day to day education programs.
